Ishmael Oppong is the Managing Director of Prometheum X Ghana, bringing over 28 years of professional experience, including 15 years in senior leadership roles, across multinational organizations in Africa. He has held executive and senior management positions with Newmont Mining Corporation, AngloGold Ashanti, Barrick Gold, Perseus Mining, and Rio Tinto Alcan, leading large-scale business improvement, asset management, and operational excellence initiatives. Ishmael has a proven track record of delivering multimillion-dollar value creation through enterprise-wide operational transformation, strategic planning, and governance-led execution. He holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (University of Leicester), and is a Senior Professional Engineer with extensive experience in regulated, high-performance environments.
